Mission Statement

To be a unique exhibition venue serving the College and the community.

Aims

To provide a Gallery of professional quality and standing, which offers the opportunity to students, artists and organisations to exhibit recent work.
To support a stimulating Exhibitions Programme with range of artist talks.
To create an international engagement for the arts as well as regional and local.

Artistic Policy

The Bath Spa Gallery is committed to the promotion of diverse, innovative and progressive contemporary arts and aims to provide a stimulating, creative and educational support structure for the community.

To create and increase the possibilities of environments by which contemporary artists and students have the opportunity to exhibit.
To encourage, promote and aid the continuous development of contemporary arts in the region.
To stimulate public dialogue on issues of art and culture by providing a forum of the extensive debate of the contemporary arts.
To increase awareness and offer insight onto the creativity, skills and knowledge of contemporary artists in the region, by the continuing exposure and access to inspiration, materials, news and information.
To bring to the public’s attention to a wide range of contemporary arts that have not been adequately represented or disseminated in the region.

Strategic Initiatives:

Development and promotion of an education and events programme to include critical studies lectures, artist talks and workshops.
