Assessor Awards

In order to achieve this qualification, you will need to have “occupational competence”. You will also need to have access to candidates who are working towards a relevant work-based qualification that you will be assessing. After an initial induction session, you will have regular tutorials off-site. The qualification is made up of three units.

What will I cover?

You will cover the skills required to effectively perform the role of an Assessor. Topics will include:
• Understanding the principles and practices of assessment, including legal and statutory requirements.
• Planning for suitable assessment opportunities
• Making assessment decisions and providing feedback

Internal Verifier Award

 This qualification is for people who are responsible for the internal verification of work-based qualifications. In order to achieve this qualification, you will need to have “occupational competence”, an Assessor qualification and be performing this job role. Additionally, you will need to be actively supporting a minimum of two Assessors in their assessment of qualifications. After an initial induction session, you will have regular tutorials off-site.
