NVQs
National Vocational Qualifications
NVQs have recently been phased out and have been replaced by other vocational qualifications.
With the introduction of the Qualifications Credit Framework (QCF), all qualifications now meet a set of rules and standards set out by the government.
There are three levels within the QCF – Award, Certificate and Diploma. These qualifications are now delivered as part of an Apprenticeship framework, specific to each vocational area.
