Facilities

Our continuing investment ensures we provide some of the best teaching facilities in the South West.

Here are just a few of the facilities we have to help ensure we continue to meet the expectations of Higher Education students.

More than 1,400 computers
The IT suites throughout the College are well equipped with PC and Apple Macs, with high quality application software and easy access printing facilities. The College has more than 1,400 computers for students to use across all campuses. The ability to use IT effectively is vital, both as an aid to study and in preparation for future employment. All of our courses include the development of IT skills. Our campuses also provide Wireless Internet access across all areas.

Learning Resource Centres (LRC)
We have purpose-built LRCs at both of our main Campuses. Experienced and friendly staff are available to help you find the information you need.

Our LRCs offer:

Over 30,000 books, journals and multimedia resources
Use of equipment: printers, photocopiers, laminators, binders and scanners
Access to computers and electronic resources
A variety of study spaces for individual or group study
A range of literature to advise you on your continued professional development.

Our staff work closely with your partner university library service to ensure that you have access to additional printed and online resources.

Where to eat?
We offer a choice of places to eat at all of our campuses, open from 8.30am Monday to Friday during term-time. There are a wide range of hot and cold meals, sandwiches, drinks and confectionery on sale. The Grove, the College’s outstanding training restaurant, offers excellent value and a stylish environment in which to dine. It has a bar, varied menus and high quality food, prepared and served by the College’s own hospitality students.

Fitness suite and sports facilities
An industry standard fitness suite and gym house a range of cardiovascular equipment. This is complemented by strength stations and a free weights area. You can join for the academic year for a one off payment of £51.

We also have a well-equipped sports hall, which is used for indoor football, basketball, volleyball and badminton Access to sports fields and tennis courts Climbing wall.

We work with many local clubs through our Academy of Sport to provide access to high quality facilities for football, rugby, basketball, cricket, badminton, swimming, squash, tennis and golf. There is also an extensive sports and activities programme, which is open to all our students Monday to Friday during term time.

Theatre and art galleries
The Blakehay Theatre is a working theatre frequently used by performing arts students and open to members of the public.

The Bath Spa Gallery promotes students’ work throughout the year, as well as the work of both local and national artists. Annual highlights include the end-of-year shows staged by both Foundation
and Degree Level students.

Essential Image salons
At Weston College our trainee Hair Stylists, Beauty Therapists, Nail Technicians and Holistic Therapists run commercial salons using industry standard facilities. We offer a wide range of treatments and
