Bath Spa University has worked with local students and colleges for a long time. Weston College is a key member of Bath Spa’s Wessex Partnership, and we offer more and more Bath Spa Foundation Degree courses each year. The Foundation Degrees are put together with help from real businesses so that you will be well prepared to meet the needs of local employers. You will have the choice of going to find a job at the end of your course, or applying to top-up to an Honours Degree.

You will be part of the university just like any other Bath Spa student. A member of the Student Union and university library, you will be encouraged to visit the university to take advantage of its resources.

There are about 6,000 students in Bath Spa University’s close-knit community – big enough to offer a good range of courses and first rate facilities, but small enough to give students individual attention. In the National Student
Survey Bath Spa students have consistently recorded a high level of satisfaction, and the university was made a national Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning in subjects leading to careers in the creative industries.
No wonder it’s a popular choice!

The University of Bath is one of Britain’s leading universities with an international reputation for teaching and research. It was founded and awarded its Royal Charter in 1966, but has origins that go back to 1856. It is consistently ranked as one of the top ten UK universities by two leading newspapers, and is said by the Financial Times to have joined the ‘Ivy League’ of British Universities.

At Weston College we work with the University to offer high quality, vocational part-time and full-time courses. Our foundation degrees bring together academic and work-based learning which will equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge that are required by employers. You may also have the opportunity to top-up your Foundation Degree to an Honours Degree (subject to specific entry requirements). These programmes have been designed to provide Honours Degree status to students who have achieved an intermediate level qualification through an associated Foundation Degree from the University of Bath.

Students who are studying on one of our courses will be registered at both Weston College and the University of Bath, allowing access to the facilities at both institutions. The University of Bath has an extensive library and learning centre which is open 24 hours a day, world class sports and recreation facilities including the sports training village.

The University of Bath looks forward to supporting you in your future studies.
