You should apply for your chosen course as soon as you have decided what you want to do. Some courses fill up quickly, so send your application back to us as soon as possible.

If you are not sure exactly which course you want to do, you can apply for more than one on the College application form.

1 Complete the application form

The quickest method to get your application in to us! Just fill in the simple online application form, and it will be automatically submitted to us.

On each course page click on 'Apply Now' to get started.

By post

If you prefer, you can download the application form, print and fill it in, sending the completed form to:

Admissions Office,
Weston College,

Knightstone Road,
BS23 2AL.

The application form can also be found at the back of the current Full-Time Prospectus.

2 Come for interview

After you apply, we’ll send you a letter inviting you to an informal interview. If you apply for more than one similar course you will be interviewed for them all at the same time. If they’re different, you may be need to come to more than one interview.

We’ll send you some questions to help you prepare for your interview. We’ll also ask you to complete an initial assessment of your literacy and numeracy online before your interview.

3 Your interview

All students are interviewed before they join a course. At your interview we’ll give you more information and make sure you are choosing the right course at the right level for you. Interviews are informal and your parents or carers are welcome to come along too.

4 Offers

In most instances we will tell you at interview whether we are offering you a place or not and will confirm it in writing within two weeks. We’ll make it quite clear what grades you need to take up your place in the letter.

5 Accepting your place

You don’t need to do anything to accept an offer of place, just let us know if you change your mind about the course you want to do with us. We will write to you during the summer about coming in to enrol in September.

6 Enrolling in August/September

To officially become a Weston College student, need to enrol. We will write to you with an individual enrolment time, date and let you know what you need to bring with you. A member of College staff will guide you through the 30-minute enrolment process on a one-to-one basis.
