International students can choose from the same wide range of subjects as British students. Each course has its own entry requirements and your level of English should be at least intermediate level. Applicants for degree level courses should have an IELTS score of Academic Band 6.5 or higher, or equivalent qualification.

  • What type of course does your existing qualifications provide
    admission to in the UK?
  • What level of English Language do you have?
  • What career do you wish to persue?

Levels explained

When you view the details of your chosen course, you’ll notice it has
been given a ‘Level’. Whatever your previous experience or
grades, we can get you started on the path you want, with courses
available at all levels. Below you‘ll find a quick guide to what all the
levels mean.

LEVEL 4: HIGHER EDUCATION

What Qualications:

BA Hons
HND
HNC
FdA/Fdsc (Foundation Degree)

Entry requirements:

UCAS Points from successful completion of A Levels/BTEC Nationals etc (See Level 3).

LEVEL 3: ADVANCED

What Qualications:

AS/A Level
BTEC National Diploma
BTEC National Certificate
NVQ Level 3

Entry requirements:

Normally you’ll need 4-5 GCSEs grade A-C or an appropriate Level 2 qualification.

LEVEL 2: INTERMEDIATE

What Qualications:

GNVQ Intermediate
BTEC First Diploma
City & Guilds Level 2
NVQ Level 2

Entry requirements:

Normally you’ll need 4 GCSEs grade C-E or an appropriate Level 1 qualification.

LEVEL 1: FOUNDATION

What Qualications:

GNVQ Foundation
NVQ Level 1
Progression Award

Entry requirements:

Normally you’ll need GCSEs grade E-G plus a commitment to learning.
