Graduation
The College organises an annual Graduation Ceremony. Last year the ceremony was attended by hundreds of family members and friends to celebrate the students’ achievements. Graduation certificates were presented on the day to students from a wide range of courses.
Celebration of Success
A £1,000 Principal’s Scholarship will be awarded at the College’s annual Celebration of Success event, to a student progressing from Year one to Year two of a Foundation Degree. It will be awarded on merit and academic endeavour. Among the students who received an award this year was Elizabeth, who won Higher Education Student of the Year.
Elizabeth achieved an HND in Fine Art (now Applied Art and Design Foundation Degree). Elizabeth’s commitment to the College and her studies were apparent when she gained a Distinction grade.
Another award winner during the evening was Craig who studied the HND in Computing (now the Foundation Degree in Computing) and won an award for ‘Outstanding Student at Higher Education level’. Craig is currently undertaking the final year of his BA Hons Degree at the University of the West of England.
The Oscar-style Celebration of Success event is an evening where students from across the College collect awards for career, vocational and academic successes. The keynote speaker this year was Robert Gwilym, who is best known for his performance as Max Gallagher in Casualty on BBC1 and Hugh Wallis in the Bill on ITV1.
