INVESTORS IN PEOPLE
Weston College is committed to investing in and training all staff in order to support and ensure the success of all students. Staff are encouraged to develop and enhance their skills and knowledge in order to reach their full potential.
Platinum Standard
As part of this commitment, the College has been awarded the Investors in People Platinum Standard, which demonstrates our commitment to invest in our staff to improve performance. The College is also an Investors in People Champion, which is a prestigious award given to a group of organisations which are used as role models for organisations looking to gain Investors in People status.
As part of this role, representatives from the College are available for mentoring, visits and open days to allow other organisations the opportunity to hear first hand how the College has enhanced employee performance through training and development.
The College actively encourages staff to stay on top of new developments within their specialist fields and a training and staff development budget is set aside specifically to cover the costs of staff development.
Training may include internal courses or attending external industry updates, seminars and conferences, through to full Honours and Masters degrees, postgraduate diplomas and other qualifications essential to their roles. Staff are also encouraged to enhance their own personal development and skill sets.
Champion Accreditation
By achieving Investors in People Champion accreditation, Weston College is part of a prestigious group of role model organisations, drawn from the private, public and third sector and ranging in size from less than ten to thousands of employees.
It’s the role of Investors in People Champions to mentor and inspire organisations who would like to benefit from their first-hand knowledge of Investors in People.
