Chris Wins College Open Evening Competition

Sixteen-year-old Chris Merrick is now the proud owner of a brand new Sony Vaio Laptop, after entering a prize draw at Weston College’s Open Evening.

Chris, who lives in Clevedon, was presented with the exciting prize by Vice-Principal Judi Harper. The former Nailsea School pupil student said: “I was surprised to win but very pleased. This laptop will definitely be useful in my studies, especially when I pursue my career in zoology. I’m really pleased I attended the Open Evening!”

The College will once again open their doors to the public next Wednesday, March 10th, from 5 – 8pm, for people to discuss their future career and study options with staff. Knightstone Campus on Knightstone Road and the University Campus on Loxton Road are both open to visitors.

The Open Evening provides a great opportunity for prospective students of all ages to find out about all the courses available at the College including A Levels, work-related qualifications, diplomas, apprenticeships, undergraduate courses, leisure courses and training for employers.

It is also an ideal opportunity for you to view the College’s excellent facilities, state-of-the-art campuses and meet their friendly and welcoming staff.
