Myfanwy - A Levels: Maths, Physics, Computing

“My A Levels at the College have been put to good use because I now use Maths, Physics and Computing on a daily basis. My degree was all the more achievable due to the solid grounding I received in these core subjects.”

After finishing at Weston College, Myfanwy went on to study an undergraduate Masters Degree in Physics at the University of Liverpool, gaining a first in 2010. Myfanwy is currently completing a PhD in Experimental Particle Physics, where she works with the LHCb detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Switzerland. The LHC smashes together protons travelling at close to the speed of light in a bid to uncover secrets of the Universe.
