How To Apply
Don't delay! Apply for your chosen course as soon as you have decided what you want to do. Some courses fill up quickly, so send your application back to us as soon as possible.
If you are not sure exactly which course you want to do, you can apply for more than one course on the College Application Form.
1. Complete the application form
• Online
The quickest method to get your application in to us! Just fill in the simple Online Application Form, and it will be automatically submitted to us.
• By post
If you prefer, you can download the Application Form, print and fill it in, sending the completed form to:
Admissions Office,
Weston College,
Knightstone Campus,
Knightstone Road,
Weston-super-Mare, BS23 2AL.
The Application Form can also be found at the back of the current Full-Time Prospectus.
2. Interview invitation
You will be sent a letter inviting you for a friendly interview for your chosen course/subject. If you apply for more than one course and they are similar or simply the same course at a different level, you will be interviewed for them at the same time. If they are different you may be asked to attend two interviews. You will be sent some questions to consider in advance of your interview so that you can prepare what you want to say. Interviews are an informal event, which your parents/carers are welcome to attend.
3. The interview
All students are interviewed before they join a course. The aim of the interview is to provide you with more information and make sure you are considering the right course for your future.
4. Offers
Within two weeks of your interview you will receive a letter which will tell you whether you have been offered a place on one of our courses. This letter will refer to the grades, as set out in the Prospectus which you need to achieve to take up your place.
5. Accepting your place
Complete the slip at the bottom of your offer letter and send it back to the College. We will write to you during the summer about coming to the College to enrol in September.
6. Enrolment
Enrolling at the College means you become a Weston College student. You will need to bring confirmation of your exam results and you will receive information telling you where you need to go at the start of your course. If you do not achieve your anticipated GCSE results, you can call our GCSE helpline on 01934 411 782.
If you have any queries regarding the application process or you are not sure which course to choose, don’t hesitate to contact Customer Information Services on 01934 411 481.
