Advice and guidance
Leaving school and still not sure what to do? Then contact our Information, Advice and Guidance Team who can give you lots of support to help you find the best way forward. They will be able to tell you about the wide range of courses the College has to offer and will try to answer any questions you may have. Open evenings
Open evenings provide you with a chance to view the whole College, meet our staff and students, and find out more about courses that may interest you. For an up-to-date list of open days, click here.

Time can move fast, so we suggest you print out and follow our simple plan below and over the next few months it will help you to stay on top of assuring a place Weston College:
September
You’re leaving school next year so it’s time to start thinking about college.
To do: Ask your Careers Co-ordinator or Connexions Advisor for a copy of our new full-time Weston College Prospectus 09/10, and have a good long look around our web site.
It is never too soon to apply, if you know which course you would like to study.
October: Start thinking about your future
If you know which course you would like to study, apply now. (If you have already sent in an Application Form we will send you a date for an interview.)
To do: Read through the new Prospectus. Discuss your ideas with our schools liaison staff who will be visiting the local Schools.
November: Start applying
If you know which course you would like to study, apply now.
To do: Come along to our Open Evening. Check out the facilities and meet our staff. Get impartial advice and guidance from our Advice and Guidance team. Have a chat to students who will tell you what college is like.
December
Get your Application Form to us, if you have not already applied – (you’ll find one in the back of this Prospectus).
To do: Complete and send your Application Form to us, don’t worry if you are not sure what subject to study, there’s still lot’s of time to change direction. Relax and enjoy the festive holiday.
January: Weston College will be in touch
We will contact you if you’ve sent in an Application Form with a date for interview.
To do: Contact us if the date we have offered you for interview is not convenient. Start revising – those examinations are closer than you think!
Come along to our Open Evening. This is your opportunity, if you missed our first Open Evening or you would like to revisit us to find out more information about any of the courses we offer.
February: Have you applied?
To do: If you’ve been hanging on it’s really best to get your application in now as popular courses fill up quickly. Plan to attend our final Open Evening as this is the last opportunity this year to see all the subject tutors and all the College has to offer.
March: Open Evening
We’ve got another Open Evening – Thursday 12th March 2009 5.00pm-8.30pm.
To do: Come along if your missed our other Open Evenings. Revisit if you want to find out more or perhaps have a look at another course/subject area.
April: Have you applied?
If you’ve been hanging on it’s really best to get your application in now as popular courses fill up quickly.
To do: Time for some serious revision!
May: Have you been interviewed?
To do: Make sure you’ve returned your decision if you have been awarded a place. If you want to check the progress of your application, call 01934 411 420/431. It’s not too late to apply if you have not done so already.
June: Offers
You should have your offer from Weston College by now.
To do: Get those exams over and done with. Settle back and relax for the summer.
July: Taster days
To do: Some subject areas run Taster Days to give you an idea of what’s to come. (You will be told about these during your
interview or sometimes we write out to invite you along.)
It’s still not too late to apply if you have not done so already.
August: Exam results time
To do: Wonder if all that revision has paid off? Once you have been offered a place to study at the College it is pretty much guaranteed, if necessary we’ll adjust the level of course with you.
