Travelling To College

WC_Web_015.jpg

We’d like our students to come to college by public transport – or better still by foot or bike. It’s not always possible, but it’s one of the best ways we can reduce our carbon footprint.

£55 bus pass per term!

By bus

Discounted bus travel
We offer our full-time students big discounts on bus travel. You can get a pass for only £55 per term and use it on any local First Bus routes, seven days a week, during term-time. That means you can also use your pass to travel to and from work experience placements, social and shopping trips etc.

Most of our full-time students can easily get to a bus stop to ensure they arrive at college quickly. There are frequent buses in the Weston area, plus direct buses from Bath, Bristol, Clevedon, Nailsea, Portishead, Burnham-on-Sea, Wells, Bridgwater and the surrounding areas. That gives you the flexibility to come and go as needs be.

If you’re a bit further away
We have so many students coming in from other areas that we’ve put on two Bakers Dolphin bus services to the Knightstone and University campuses from:

Bridgwater, Highbridge, Burnham-on-Sea Cheddar, Axbridge, Compton Bishop.

By bike

Cycle to college and save money on petrol, keep fit, healthy and in shape, avoid traffic and reduce carbon emissions, which is good for the environment. There are plenty of cycle racks at the campuses for you to use.

By road

Our campuses are just 10 minutes drive from the M5 junction 21. The A371 and A370 go into Weston and join up with the A38, making us accessible from all sides of Weston-super-Mare and the surrounding areas.

By train

Weston-super-Mare station is on the main line from Bristol to Exeter. You can catch the train from many towns and cities including: Backwell, Bath, Bridgwater, Bristol, Highbridge, Nailsea, Taunton and Yatton.

The Knightstone and South West Skills Campus are less than 10 minutes' walk from Weston-super-Mare and Milton train stations. Our University Campus is about 10 minutes away on the bus.
