Parties and trips

Throughout the year there's plenty more on offer and something for everyone. Every year we organise numerous trips both in England and abroad for all students to get involved with. Last year we arranged trips to Amsterdam, Paris, London and Alton Towers. We are also planning alternative music nights, a trip to the Brecon Beacons, a rag day and a wide range of activity trips.

There’s much more to being a student at Weston College than just going to your classes. You can get involved with a whole range of activities to help you meet new people, make new friends and learn new skills.


Wide range of activities

Weston College provides many part-time enrichment activities if you are interested in gaining a new skill or want to learn about something new for fun. These include:

Discounted driving lessons

Weston College has linked with a local driving school. This enables students to receive discounted driving lessons and free theory tuition.

Sporting opportunities

There are also a wide range of sports activities available throughout the week, mainly at lunchtimes and on Wednesday afternoons. The noticeboards on all sites are regularly updated with details of the sports and activities taking place, which are open to all our students. These include:

There is also access to fields for rugby, football, and hockey and use of both local authority and professional sports grounds and clubs in the Weston area.

Competitive sport

If you have an interest and commitment to a particular sport, we operate a wide range of College teams taking part in local, county and national competitions. These matches take place mainly on a Wednesday afternoon.

Wednesday afternoon sport

In order to give you the opportunity to get involved in sports and activities, many of you won’t have scheduled lectures or lessons on a Wednesday afternoon. This enables you to play for fun, keep fit, represent the College in competitive sport and make lots of new friends.

Health and fitness suite

Our health and fitness suite, houses a wide range of user friendly equipment, including treadmills, exercise bikes and cardiovascular equipment. Various membership options are available.
