Travelling to College

By bus - discounted bus travel

To help you get to College we offer our full-time students a substantial discount on bus travel. The £70 per term pass (from September 2015) can be used on any local First Bus and Crosville routes anytime Monday to Friday during term-time. You can also use your pass to travel to and from work experience placements.

Bus routes to Knightstone, University Campus and South West Skills Campus.

In order for you to be able to easily access either our Knightstone Campus or our University Campus, we have been working very closely with First Bus and Crosville.

The majority of our full-time students can travel easily to any of our campuses from across the region on a First Bus or Crosville service. This may be a dedicated bus service or by using the normal bus route depending on where you live. There are frequent buses from within the Weston area, as well as direct buses from Bath, Bristol, Clevedon, Nailsea, Portishead, Burnham-on-Sea, Wells, Bridgwater and the surrounding areas. This gives you the flexibility to come and go to suit your study needs.

First Bus and Crosville operate a wide range of network services throughout North Somerset, Somerset, Gloucester, Wiltshire and within the Bristol area. Bus times and other service information can be obtained from Travel Line on 0871 2002233 or online at or In addition to this, extra services will operate across the town from Worle, directly to the University Campus.

Please contact Student Services for an up-to-date timetable.

Other ways to travel to College

By road

Our three campuses in Weston-super-Mare are easily accessible by road, being around 20 minutes drive from the M5, junction 21. The A371 and A370 go into Weston and connect with the A38 to make the College accessible from all sides of Weston-super-Mare and the surrounding areas. See our map for your route to college.

We are keen to promote students using their bikes to get to College. There are many benefits to commuting by bike, including:

  • Saving money on petrol
  • Keeping fit, healthy and in shape
  • No queuing
  • Reducing carbon emissions, which is good for the environment.

We have plenty of cycle racks, so please feel free to use them.
