You will need a minimum of one A Level in a creative subject supported by at least 5 GCSEs in the A*-C range or the equivalent. When you are invited for an interview you should bring a portfolio of work, which demonstrates your creative ability and commitment to the subject.

You will need at least 5 GCSE grades A*-C including Art or Design and Maths and English at Grade C or above. You could also have a Level 2 qualification such as a BTEC Diploma in Art and Design.

You should bring a portfolio of work to your interview, showing  our creativity. This could include examples from a range of  reative areas.

What could I do next?

• UAL Foundation Diploma in Art and Design. This is the second year of this course allowing you to specialise in an area of art, a good route to university. Find out more on page 69.
