Entry Requirements:

You should have successfully completed a Musical Theatre based Foundation Degree with Bath Spa University, obtaining an
overall grade average of 50% in the second year of the course.

All applicants will be interviewed and auditioned. It is becoming
increasingly desirable for students to possess a Level 2 qualification in Maths and English. This is essential if you intend to progress onto a PGCE course at a later stage.

Progression:

On successful completion of this top-up qualification you may:

Apply to progress to a PGCE course and teaching
Progress to Masters Degree study at Bath Spa University or other universities
Enter employment in for example musical theatre, music, theatre and media industries, holiday and cruise industries and community arts.

Entry Requirements:

You will be expected to have successfully completed the Bath Spa University Foundation Degree in Early Years or an equivalent
qualification, achieving a minimum 50% average grade in year two of your Foundation Degree or equivalent qualification.

Progression:

Progression to the six month Short Extended Professional Development (EPD) Pathway to achieve the Early Years Professional Status (EYPS)*
Teacher training**
Social work training
Management role in early years settings
Work in child protection.

*To continue onto the short pathway for the EYPS qualification
you will have previously achieved a grade C or above in GCSE Maths and English Language or an equivalent qualification.

**If you wish to undertake a Primary and Early Years PGCE you will need five GCSE passes at grade C or above (or recognised equivalents) including English, Maths and a Science subject.
