About the Course
To achieve this Apprenticeship you will need to complete a number of qualifications including
Entry Requirements
We recommend you have a minimum of four GCSEs at grades A*-C, however all applications will be considered. You must also demonstrate an interest in early years care and education and a willingness to learn.
Having a relevant job (for a minimum of 16 hours per week) is an essential part of an Apprenticeship. We recommend that you hold this post for 3 months prior to starting your Apprenticeship.
You will need to put in time and effort to find an employer to offer you an Apprenticeship. The Apprenticeship team at the College will support you with your job search activities please get in touch if you need some help.
Additional Information - An interview is required if you are not already employed in a relevant role.
Progression
You are likely to gain from a range of benefits from completing this qualification, for example:
• a nationally recognised qualification which is equivalent to 2 ‘A’ levels
• new or enhanced skills
• increased levels of confidence
• increased knowledge about your job role and techniques in childcare provision
• a sense of personal achievement

• the opportunity to progress to higher level qualifications such as an FdA in Education Studies or BA(Hons) in Early Years Education.
