Foundation Learning is made up of four key courses which have been developed by Weston College in response to the new agenda for Foundation Learning.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements needed however you must be able to demonstrate a commitment to furthering your studies and you will need to attend a course guidance interview
Progression
On successful completion you may:
- Progress to an Apprenticeship or other Level 2 courses at the College
- Continue developing your Functional Skills at Weston College, under the Foundation Learning Programmes
- Enter employment, supported employment, employment with training
- Progress to independent living.
Within Foundation Learning we work with a number of partner organisations to ensure that all students have the best possible
opportunities and support to be successful. These include: specialist colleges, schools, Connexions, Princes Trust, Purple Sheep, V Involve, National Autistic Society, North Somerset People First, Community Learning Disabilities Team, Freeways, Mencap and the Brandon Trust amongst many others.
