Venue
Carpenters and Joiners make and install the wooden fixtures and fittings found in commercial and domestic projects. This course is suitable for both Site Carpenters and Bench Joiners.
Entry Requirements
What do I need?
You will be invited to an interview with a member of the course team and will be required to undertake an initial assessment to determine your entry level.

- NVQ Level 2 and 3
- Apprenticeship
- Carpenter (employed or self-employed).

- A Foundation Degree in Construction Engineering.

If you’re good with your hands and want to work as a site carpenter, this is the course for you.
Entry Requirements
You will need at least 2 GCSEs at grade C or above, and 2 more
within the C-E range, we’d like those to include English and Maths. You could have a Level 1 qualification such as a Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery or an NVQ Level 1 instead of GCSEs. You must be able to show that you’re interested in the subject and want to study this course. You will also need to have an interview and do a test.

- Level 3 Diploma in Site Carpentry
- An Apprenticeship where you learn on the job
- An NVQ Level 2 or NVQ Level 3 in Wood Occupations as part of a work placement.
