Women's Decorating Course Launched
Weston College has launched a unique House Makeover Diploma focused on women following a successful taster day for women

Venue
If you’re practical but cannot decide on a specific trade, this maintenance course could be for you.
Entry Requirements
You will need at least 2 GCSEs at grade C or above, and 2 more within the C-E range, we’d like those to include English and Maths. You could have a Level 1 qualification such as a Diploma in Brickwork or Carpentry and Joinery or an NVQ Level 1 instead of GCSEs. You must be able to show that you’re interested in the subject and want to study this course. You will also have an interview and do a test.

Entry Requirements
We recommend you have a minimum of four GCSEs at grades A-C, however all applications will be considered. You must also demonstrate an interest in maintenance operations and a willingness to learn.
Having a relevant job (for a minimum of 16 hours per week) is an essential part of an Apprenticeship.
You will need to put in time and effort to find an employer to offer you an Apprenticeship. The Apprenticeship team at the College will support you with your job search activities please get in touch if you need some help.
Additional Information - An interview is required unless you are already employed in a relevant role
Progression
You are likely to gain from a range of benefits from completing this qualification, for example:
• a nationally recognised qualification which is equivalent to 5 GCSEs
• new or enhanced skills
• increased levels of confidence
• increased knowledge about your job role and techniques in Maintenance Operations, Caretaking, Site Supervisor or similar type roles
