 We recommend you have a minimum of four GCSEs at grades A-C, however all applications will be considered. You must also demonstrate an interest in managing people and a willingness to learn.

Entry Requirements

 We recommend you have a minimum of four GCSEs at grades A-C, however all applications will be considered. You must also demonstrate an interest in maintenance operations and a willingness to learn.

Having a relevant job (for a minimum of 16 hours per week) is an essential part of an Apprenticeship.

You will need to put in time and effort to find an employer to offer you an Apprenticeship. The Apprenticeship team at the College will support you with your job search activities please get in touch if you need some help.

Additional Information - An interview is required unless you are already employed in a relevant role

Progression

You are likely to gain from a range of benefits from completing this qualification, for example:
• a nationally recognised qualification which is equivalent to 5 GCSEs
• new or enhanced skills
• increased levels of confidence
• increased knowledge about your job role and techniques in Maintenance Operations, Caretaking, Site Supervisor or similar type roles
• a sense of personal achievement
• formal recognition of competence as a Level 2 Maintenance Operative
• higher levels of job performance and better results
• the opportunity to progress to higher qualifications such as an Advanced Apprenticeship in Construction.
