“The journey doesn't end here”
Level 3 learners spent the day putting into practice what they have been learning over the last 5 months on the Hair and Make-up for Fashion and Media Diploma.
All learners were given a make-up brief where they needed to explore the theme of ‘Lord of the Rings’ and design their own character suitable for film or theatre, taking inspiration from the film and books to create a total look that matches the aesthetic of the characters and environment.
Working to a brief is an expectation in the media make-up industry, this assessment gave the learners an insight into working in a make-up department in film, tv or theatre and the requirements for this.
This qualification provides learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to work as a make-up artist covering topics such as:
- Airbrush make-up for the face.
- Camouflage make-up.
- Fashion, photographic and media make-up.
- Plus optional units including - face and body art, mehndi skin decoration, applying prosthetic pieces, styling and fitting postiche, wig services and fantasy hair design.
As you can see our learners have created some brilliant looks that are going to look great in their portfolio's.
