Finley, Gordano School
My aim is to become an adult nurse within the A&E department and there is no better experience I could have before University! Southmead covers such a wide range of health care which means the variety of experience I'll gain will definitely help me reach my goal. I love helping people and can't wait to see my work helping people get better.
Emily, Priory School
I'm working towards my dream job as a paramedic and I believe that this placement is the most beneficial experience available to me. I think the main skills needed for my course are resilience, patience and determination - All 3 of which I'll be applying to my work at Southmead.
Jordan
I would love to get in to the emergency care industry as a critical care front line responder. I wanted this opportunity because of the great experiences that I could gain by working on the vast scale of wards at Southmead. My learning in the sim room at College has given me the much needed knowledge for this placement!
Lara, Worle School
I wanted this placement to prove to myself I could achieve it as well as future reference for university and future employment. I'm really looking forward to the realistic experience of the healthcare sector. I'm really grateful for the knowledge I've gained in the sim ward as well as the support I've received from my tutor.
