Scaffolder, Apprenticeship

Apprenticeships are open to anyone over the age of 16 and allow you to earn while you learn. Becoming an apprentice is an excellent way to learn while earning a wage, offering many benefits to both apprentices and their employers. Apprentices are provided with specialist and nationally recognised construction industry skills and qualifications, so both the apprentice and their employer benefit!

Scaffolding is an essential industry that plays a crucial role in construction, maintenance, and beyond. It requires a unique blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety. By embarking on a scaffolding apprenticeship, you'll lay the foundation for a fulfilling career that combines practicality, creativity, and endless possibilities.

The scaffolding apprenticeship is offered in partnership with Simian, a renowned industry leader in scaffolding and access solutions, known for their commitment to excellence and safety.

One of the great advantages of pursuing a career in construction is the potential for swift entry into the workforce. As you progress, you'll have the opportunity to transition from our on-campus courses into an apprenticeship, gaining invaluable hands-on experience with an employer. This combination of theoretical learning and practical application gets to the heart of learning and sets you up for a successful future in construction.

During your apprenticeship, you'll be immersed in a learning environment that combines classroom instruction, hands-on training, and real-world experience. You will be taught by experienced professionals who will equip you with the fundamental knowledge needed to understand scaffolding principles, regulations, and best practices. Through engaging lessons, you'll gain insights into structural engineering, equipment usage, risk assessment, and more.
As an apprentice, you'll have the opportunity to apply your newfound knowledge in practical settings, working alongside industry professionals. Under their guidance, you'll refine your skills, learn advanced techniques, and gain a deep understanding of the scaffolding trade.

Throughout the program, safety will be paramount. Scaffolding can be a challenging and potentially hazardous field, but rest assured, you'll receive comprehensive training in health and safety procedures.
