Plan for Jobs

How will these Bootcamps be delivered?

Course delivery will comprise online tutor-led and self-paced learning. The programmes will be delivered by our experienced Computing and Digital Technologies lecturing team.

How long will the Bootcamps last?

The Bootcamp will take place over 12 weeks, comprising a core of 10 hours per week with additional self-led learning to complement the programme. There will be additional tutorial sessions for all learners scheduled throughout the programme.

How many days a week is the course?

The main content is delivered via day release, one day per week (Monday), as well as an additional 4 hours of remote engagement available daytime and/or evening each week.

Are the Bootcamps for beginners?

The courses will require a level of competency and our team will establish your skill level prior to joining the course. Following an initial assessment it may be recommended that you join a transition programme to prepare for future Bootcamp delivery dates.

Is this course one for pleasure, or will I receive a qualification?

You will have the potential to gain Microsoft industry-recognised accreditation at the end of the course as evidence of your successful completion and newly acquired skills.

Will the Bootcamps prepare me for employment within this sector?

The courses are designed to provide the skills which are in demand by employers across a wide range of industry sectors. As part of the course, where appropriate, you will receive support to help prepare you for an interview upon successful completion and certification. Additionally, we will be working with employers to identify relevant job opportunities and interviews.

WHAT WILL IT COST?

If you are an individual participant, these Digital Skills Bootcamps are provided free of charge. If you are an employer wishing to upskill your staff, you will be just 30% of the normal price, the balance is paid by Government as part of this pilot.
