Before I joined Weston College I was employed within the education sector but i needed the qualifications to gain a managerial position. I am now managing a pre-school which is connected to a first school within Somerset.

My advice for any students applying is don’t think about it, just go for it! I couldn’t have been happier studying at Weston College. The level of teaching and support was incredible and staff on reception and in the canteen were always really friendly and helpful. Great college!

My favourite thing about studying at Weston College has been the teachers hands down, on both the Teaching Assistant and Early Years Practitioner courses. Big shout out to Karen Morgan and Jane Capille they were and will always be a big part of me getting into education and why I love what I do.

With a full time job managing a pre-school and family you have to be organised but then juggling being a mature student and going back to studying it was daunting but I absolutely LOVED it all. For any other mature student that may be doubting themselves, don’t! Take life with both hands and believe in yourself and your next new adventure!

Where are they now? Lana is currently in a full time role managing a pre-school and planning to continue and progress within her role.
