Infrastructure Technician, Apprenticeship
What will I do on this course?
Infrastructure technicians provide support to internal and external customers, helping them to be productive when using technology, by using tools to solve and trouble shoot non-routine problems. The infrastructure technician sets people up on systems and provides support when they need it, rectifying issues to maintain the organisation’s productivity.
Job roles that you could undertake include helpdesk technician, first or second-line support, IT infrastructure technician, and network support.
How will I be assessed?
When you are ready, you will undertake the end-point assessment, which will test your skills knowledge and behaviours required for this role. Assessment could also be via a portfolio of evidence.
What could I do after this course?
You could progress to a Degree Apprenticeship in Digital and Technology Solutions at University Centre Weston.
You should hold a Level 2 English and maths qualification to start this apprenticeship or have workplace experience in an IT setting. You will also be assessed to ensure you have the ability to complete the English and maths qualifications at Level 2 if you have not already achieved them.
