Hospitality Team Member, Apprenticeship
What will I do on this course?
The Level 2 Hospitality Team Member Apprenticeship will provide you with the skills and knowledge required in a range of hospitality roles.
Specialist areas in hospitality include food and beverage service, serving alcoholic beverages, barista service, food preparation, housekeeping, concierge and guest services, reception, reservations and conferencing and banqueting.
This apprenticeship will help you develop the key skills needed in these roles – recognising customer needs, matching customers to the products and services of the business and working as part of a team.
The pathway you follow (there are seven to choose from) will depend on your job, to ensure the apprenticeship fits your role perfectly.
How will I be assessed?
We’ll assess your practical skills and observe you at work. Your personal assessor will also visit you at work to review your progress. There are four assessment activities that you will be required to undertake. The on-demand test, observation and business project may be undertaken in any order and the professional discussion must be the last activity completed. All assessment activities must be completed within two months.
What could I do after this course?
After this apprenticeship, you’ll be able to progress your career in the hospitality industry. Or you could enhance your skills and qualifications with the Hospitality Supervisor Advanced Apprenticeship at Weston College.
You don’t need any formal qualifications to start this apprenticeship, but you will be assessed to ensure you are proficient in English and maths at Level 1.
