This vocational Traineeship will create and develop skills in Education and Early Years so if you’re looking to begin in the industry, but don’t know where to start, this is the course for you!
As a Weston College student you will become part of our exciting new Career Excellence Hub in Education and Early Years. This means you will take part in a study programme with lots of career boosting benefits, all with the aim of giving you the opportunity to become career ready!
What does the course involve?
The traineeship is a flexible programme designed to develop your workplace skills and knowledge and build your English and maths. It is suitable for those who wish to study an intermediate apprenticeship but have not yet gained an employer or require confidence in the workplace.
It is also a good choice for those who may need a little longer to study at Level 2 or who need more time with English and maths in order to be ready to progress to Level 3. You will attend College two to three days a week to study English, maths, employment rights and responsibilities and work towards the Education and Early Years Level 2 qualification.
You will also undertake a traineeship placement two days per week, which will provide valuable experience to use in future employment.
How will the course be assessed?
We’ll assess your English, maths, practical skills, projects and placement performance in college and in your workplace.
