Electrical Installation, Diploma / Technical Certificate
The Electrical Installation Diploma will provide you with a high level of industry competency. You will learn about topics such as health and safety, electrical principles, electrical maintenance, inspection, testing and commissioning, electrical maintenance and fault diagnosis and rectification.
This programme includes a Level 3 EAL Intermediate Diploma in Electrical Installation. As part of this study programme, you will develop your maths and English skills, attend tutorials and Individual Development (ID). You will also complete a work placement or extended industry placement. All aspects of your study programme will be discussed at your interview.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment builds through a series of assessments over the year and leads to a final end of year practical and written exam.
What could I do after this course?
After the Electrical Installation Diploma, you will be qualified for a number of jobs in the electrical and maintenance industries. You may also decide to open up your own electrician business. If you want to increase your skills, you could progress to the HNC in Engineering (Electrical and Electronic Engineering) at University Centre Weston.
Entry Requirements
You will need a recognised Level 2 electrotechnical qualification such as the 8202, 2330 or 2365, the Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology or the EAL Intermediate Diploma in Electrical Installation.
