What will I do on this course?
This course is the ideal introduction to engineering and will build up your basic engineering and IT skills as well as develop your technical knowledge. You will learn about the internet, how to make websites, pitching an engineering product, and animation.
You will also get the opportunity to take part in work experience in the engineering sector. This course also includes tutorial support, employability development and study skills. We’ll work with you to develop your English and maths skills to the level that most employers in the engineering sector look for.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through observations of practical work, group work, presentations and coursework.
What could I do after this course?
This course could be your first step into the engineering industry. You could also progress onto our Level 2 engineering course to further develop your skills and knowledge.
Entry Requirements
A minimum of five GCSEs at grade 3-1 with at least two at grade 3, or a pre-vocational programme.
