Health, T Level
T Levels are the new ‘Gold Standard’ in technical qualifications and are designed to ensure that learners gain vital employability and academic skills as required by the NHS. Designed and developed in collaboration with employers, this programme is a mixture of classroom and work-based learning to give you the technical skills and workplace experience to kick-start your career into the health sector.
What does the course involve?
You will complete a core technical qualification in the 1st year of your course and in the 2nd year you will study for your, occupational specialism in supporting the adult nursing team You will also complete a social care placement in your first year and clinical placements within the local health trust or community care to gain an overall 315 hours. Technical areas of study will include assisting the adult nursing team with clinical tasks and supporting individuals to meet activities of daily living.
As part of this study programme, you will develop your Maths, English, and digital skills and attend tutorials, SIM sessions and external guest speaker sessions. All aspects of your study programme will be discussed at your interview.
How will the course be assessed?
You will be assessed through a number of exams and project work throughout the programme. You will need to complete all elements to achieve the overall T Level.
Are there any additional costs?
You will be required to purchase a polo shirt to wear at all sessions within college, a tunic or scrub top for SIM sessions and to wear to placement.
You must ensure that you are up to date with all immunisations including childhood requirements as this will be required by the NHS before you can access their placements.

The Level 3 T Level will equip you with the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to progress into skilled employment or higher-level technical training relevant to the T Level. Additionally, this programme will enable you to progress onto a degree in Integrated Mental Health and Social Care or Health and Social Care Practice at University Centre Weston. You can also progress to university in either health or social care related fields.

Entry Requirements
A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 9-4 (including English, maths and science (grade 6), or the Health T Level Transition Programme.
