Professional Chef, T Level
This vocational course will assist you in developing your skills to professional standards in Hospitality and Catering and getting you career ready by providing you with placements for work.
The core knowledge and understanding delivered within this qualification will support you to transition into employment with the skills, confidence and attributes required to be successful in the hospitality and catering sector.

What does the course involve?
You will learn the following elements- Quality Ingredients and brand standards/Tools and equipment/The kitchen environment/Food preparation, cooking, holding and finishing /Food safety/Supporting business performance /Minimising risk/ Workplace hazards/Professional behaviours and responsibilities/Producing quality dishes using fresh ingredients for service/Leading the production of quality dishes using prepared ingredients for service /Adapt quality dishes for specific customer requirements /Produce quality dishes for a central production unit consumed in different types of locations/ Create quality dishes to meet a menu concept
How will the course be assessed?
You will be assessed through assignment work, case studies, presentations, examinations and final practical examinations.
Are there any additional costs?
You will be required to purchase a kit and uniform which will be available on the college shop. ###What future study opportunities and careers are there?
After completing a two-year T Level, you will have the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviours to successfully progress into work or higher-level study. When you pass your T Level, you receive a nationally recognised certificate showing the overall grade you achieved: pass, merit, distinction, or distinction. The certificate will also give details of what you learned on the course to help you move into skilled employment or a higher apprenticeship. A distinction secures you the same number of UCAS points as three A Levels at A*, and will be recognised by universities, other education providers and employers, meaning your progression options are kept entirely open.
