Professional Cookery Certificate and Barista Award
On this programme you will develop your knowledge and understanding of customer service in the hospitality industry, as well as learning about food safety, food allergies, healthy eating, health and safety and gain a solid introduction to the subject.
You will learn how to make wonderful coffee, how to use equipment to make tea, hot chocolate, smoothies and juices. Plus, you will learn about basic food preparation and cooking, as well as how to use kitchen equipment, while developing your interpersonal skills.
How will I be assessed?
A mixture of live practical assessments and theoretical short answer multiple choice assessments and assignments.
What could I do after this course?
This programme can lead to employment as a barista, as well as other customer-facing and kitchen-based roles in the catering industry. You can increase your earning potential with a Level 3 qualification in a catering subject.
Entry Requirements
A minimum of five GCSEs at grade 3-1 with at least two at grade 3
