Business, A Level
You will study business in a variety of contexts, such as large and small, local and global, and service
and manufacturing businesses. You will learn about business, leadership, management and decision making, marketing, operations, finance and human resources. You will also analyse the strategic position of a business, as well as learning how to choose strategic direction, pursue strategies, and manage strategic change.
You will learn to consider the context of a business in relation to decision making, how to use data to make decisions, how technological advancements affect the way decisions are made, and how to assess risk when making strategic decisions.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through examinations in your second year.
What could I do after this course?
You could apply for a related degree at university - for example BA (Hons) Business Management and Sustainability at University Centre Weston, or an apprenticeship or employment in HR, marketing or finance.
Five GCSEs at grade 9-4, including English and maths.
