Sport and Activity Leaders, BTEC Diploma
What will I do on this course?
Developed by employers and industry specialists, this programme will enable you to develop the practical skills to work in the sports industry. You will cover a range of topics such as; coaching and leading sport and physical activity, delivering sports activity events, anatomy and physiology.
As part of this study programme you will develop your maths and English skills, attend tutorials and Individual Development (ID). You will also complete an extended work placement to develop key skills, knowledge and behaviours. All aspects of your study programme will be discussed at your interview.
How will I be assessed?
This qualification is assessed by exams, coursework, presentations and practical activities.
What could I do after this course?
Achieving the qualification will give you an advantage when applying for employment in sport and activity leadership, or to an apprenticeship. There is also the opportunity to progress onto a full time Level 3.
A minimum of five GCSEs at grade 9-2 with at least two at grade 4 or a qualifying Level 1 qualification.
