Access to HE: Business
Take the first step towards your career in business by gaining the relevant academic subject knowledge required for higher education study. This course is suitable for anyone over the age of 18 who wishes to develop their skills and progress into a higher education program.
The course is well-established and widely accepted by universities, providing you with UCAS tariff points that are equivalent to three A Levels.
While the course is only 12 hours per week, be prepared to study hard outside of college to achieve your goals. The good news is that you can do this at your own pace and in your own time, making it flexible to your lifestyle.
You will have a wide range of units to choose from, allowing you to tailor your studies to your interests and career goals. The mandatory units provide you with a solid understanding of themes relevant to business management and law, while the other units enable you to develop specialist knowledge and skills in areas such as marketing, human resources, and accounting.
The Access to HE Diploma: Business covers a range of subjects and topics that are relevant to higher education studies in business and management. These may include:

The Access to HE Diploma is designed to reflect the rigor and demands of undergraduate study. It includes a range of assessment methods such as essays, reports, exams, presentations, and portfolios. The assessments will be spread throughout the year, and you will receive regular feedback to help you progress and develop your skills.

It is expected that applicants should have a GCSE grade 4/C in English. GCSE grade 4/C in maths is desirable but can be studied alongside Access if not already achieved. For both English and maths, Level 2 equivalents will be considered, but applicants must check that this will be accepted by their chosen university prior to starting on the Access course.
