Level 3
Access to HE Diploma: Nursing and Midwifery
This course is designed for people aged over 19 years and is ideal if you are interested in a career in nursing or midwifery. These professions change people’s lives daily – nurses support patients in a variety of important ways and midwives support and guide expectant mothers through their pregnancy and birth. This course is your next step towards a fulfilling career in nursing or midwifery and will give you the qualifications needed to study a university degree in either subject, but also a wide range of other health related degrees.
Whether you’re at the start of your career, wanting to move to the next level or wanting to make the move into this exciting field from other areas, this course will help you make that move.
You will study in college for 10 hours a week and complete the rest of your studies independently and in study skills sessions. If you are prepared to study hard, this is a great flexible course to fit around your lifestyle and working commitments - voluntary or paid work in a care setting will strengthen your university application and is recommended.
