Accounts/Finance Assistant, Apprenticeship
If you’re looking to begin a career in Accounting or Finance, an apprenticeship is a great way to start! Our apprenticeships are open to anyone over the age of 16, and give you a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn.
By learning on the job with professionals, you’ll pick up skills and knowledge that you can carry with you all the way to a full-time job!
With qualifications to take while you’re there, you’ll be gaining experience and industry-recognised certificates all in one.
Subjects/Topics Covered
The Level 2 apprenticeship provides valuable workplace skills and experience, while you earn a wage.
You will spend 4 days a week with an employer and one day or two evenings a week at college to learn the theoretical elements of the role.
This programme covers a range of topics, including:
- Bookkeeping
- Costing
- Business Awareness
- Maths and English skills
You will also undertake several qualifications including the AAT Level 2 in accounting.
Assessment Method
You will complete the AAT examinations, a synoptic assessment and an end point assessment.

Entry Requirements
You will need a GCSE in Maths and English or Functional Skills. You will also need to be in relevant employment, but we can support you to find this.
