Grief and Loss, CPD Workshop
This CPD workshop is designed for people aged over 19 years and will give you a grounding in the fundamental skills of working therapeutically in the challenging area of grief and loss. This course covers theories and practical approaches and will build your confidence and skills when working with individuals experiencing feelings of loss.
The workshop will help enhance your career and counselling practice and is designed for those working in counselling or wanting to gain a greater understanding of bereavement issues and the impact of grief and loss. The workshop will be valuable to social workers, teachers, school counsellors, funeral home employees, crisis workers, therapists and nurses.
Subjects covered:
- Grief and loss theories
- Strategies and skills practice
- Utilising reflection
- Group work
Assessment method
There are no formal assessments, however we work through practical sessions to ensure understanding.

Entry requirements
No formal entry requirements but this course is designed for those that hold a minimum of a level 2 counselling skills qualification or are working towards completing one.
