Early Years Educator, Diploma

What will I do on this course?

This Level 3 early years course will give you the skills and knowledge you’ll need to work as a fully qualified early years educator.

This course will develop your expertise in child development, psychology, health and well-being and early years education.

You’ll cover a range of topics, including early years education and development; teaching and learning; professional practice; health and wellbeing; child protection and safeguarding; and diversity, equality and inclusion.

How will I be assessed?

We’ll assess your practical skills, assignments, projects, case studies and workplace performance.

What could I do after this course?

You could progress to a role in a range of settings, including nurseries, pre-schools and schools.

Or, you can increase your skills with a degree in Early Childhood Studies or Early Years at University Centre Weston.


This course is FREE if you are aged 19+, do not have a Level 3 qualification (A-Level equivalent), and currently live in the South West.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements although a Level 2 qualification in early years would be advantageous.
