Assessor Coach, Higher Apprenticeship
The Assessor Coach apprenticeship standard is designed for apprentices who will coach and assess vocational learners, usually on a one-to-one basis, in a range of learning environments. They may, for example, coach and assess apprentices, trainees or new recruits (ranging from young entrants, to new CEOs) in the workplace.
The primary role of an Assessor/Coach is to work co-operatively with other Education and Training Sector professionals (such as teachers, human resource professionals and mentors/supervisors in the workplace) in supporting the learner’s development of vocational competence and the wider skills that relate to employability and professionalism.
Apprentices must achieve a minimum of Level 1 Safeguarding, before End Point Assessment.
How will I be assessed?
To achieve this apprenticeship standard, the employer, training provider and apprentice will agree when the apprentice is ready and competent to undertake the independent end assessment, which will test their skills knowledge and behaviours required for this role
After completing this apprenticeship, apprentices can progress to the Internal Quality Assurer Award, External Quality Assurer Award or End Point Assessment Assessor.
You will need to manage and support learners on a full-time basis and this will need to be your job role in your organisation.
