Safeguarding and Prevent, Certificate
In 2019, a total of 5,738 individuals were referred to the Prevent programme, with the education sector accounting for 33% of this number. Anyone wanting to work in local authorities, schools, colleges, uniformed services or health and social care needs to be aware of safeguarding and the Prevent duty and how to include these principles in their day-to-day work practices.
It will help you to recognise the signs of abuse, how to reduce the risk of radicalisation, the potential consequences of illegal online activity and the responsibilities and procedures involved in raising concerns effectively.
You will study using online materials and with support from a personal tutor.
How will I be Assessed?
There is no formal exam. Instead, you will need to demonstrate achievement of all learning outcomes within each module by submitting and passing all the assessed activities within the course.
