Level 3
Paralegal, Apprenticeship
This paralegal apprenticeship is suitable for those who are providing legal support while working under supervision.
It has been designed in collaboration with a number of law firms and legal departments with experience in employing paralegals, with the close involvement of CILEx Regulation and the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Alongside work-based study, you will work towards a CILEx Level 3 Certificate, which you can then continue on to achieve the Level 3 Diploma. The CILEx Certificate is taught at Weston College and is assessed through exams and written assignments.
A work-based assessor will visit you at the firm to assess practical skills and professional behaviour to complete a portfolio of evidence ready for the end point assessment.
This apprenticeship is designed to last up to 24 months, however this can be reduced depending on your ability, previous skills and knowledge.
With the appropriate job role, you may be able to progress onto the Chartered Legal Executive Apprenticeship at Levels 6.
Feedback
“CILEx is a brilliant opportunity for people who do not want to go down the University route. Since being a member of CILEx I have grown in confidence, the staff are so supportive and I really enjoy my time at College. The main reason why I was so drawn to CILEx is that I work alongside my studies, so it is the best of both worlds.” Daisy Sellick, Alletsons Solicitors – Level 3 Paralegal Apprentice
