Level 3
Paralegal, Apprenticeship
Paralegal apprenticeships can offer valuable support to very busy and demanding environments, where you will also earn a wage and work with professionals who will give you the skills to carry with you into future employment.
You will gain an understanding of legal matters and transactions, client and colleague requests, and carrying out research.
Studying this course means that you will also be part of our Business Career Excellence Hub, which is endorsed by leading employers, who are actively involved throughout your whole training programme.
What does the course involve?
It has been designed in collaboration with a number of law firms and legal departments with experience in employing paralegals, with the close involvement of CILEx Regulation and the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Alongside work-based study, you will study a range of law modules relevant to your specialist areas of law related to your apprenticeship role.
A work-based assessor will visit you at the firm to assess practical skills and professional behaviour to complete a portfolio of evidence ready for the end point assessment.
This apprenticeship is designed to last up to 24 months, however this can be reduced depending on your ability, previous skills and knowledge.
How will the course be assessed?
You will be assessed via a range of coursework/knowledge tests and an end point assessment.
What future study opportunities and careers are there?
Completing this apprenticeship can open doors to roles in legal firms. You could choose to progress into further education at University Centre Weston in Law LLB (Hons). Or a Level 6 Legal Executive Apprenticeship
Feedback
“The Paralegal Apprenticeship is a brilliant opportunity for people who do not want to go down the University route. I have grown in confidence, the staff are so supportive, and I really enjoy my time at college. The main reason why I was so drawn to this route is that I work alongside my studies, so it is the best of both worlds.” Daisy Sellick, Alletsons Solicitors – Level 3 Paralegal Apprentice
