Trowel Occupations, (Bricklaying) Apprenticeship
What will I do on this course?
This apprenticeship will develop your bricklaying skills to an advanced level. You’ll earn a wage while learning on the job, getting a head start in the construction industry and learning the skills employers in this sector are looking for.
You’ll learn about a range of bricklaying components including decorative panels, setting out complex structures, and projecting brickwork. In addition to the main units, you’ll be assessed on your ability to operate in the world of work, areas such as maintaining a safe, clean, working environment and your ability to communicate.
How will I be assessed?
You’ll be assessed through practical tests, workplace observations, online tests, assignments and a portfolio.
What could I do after this course?
You could progress to site management roles or set up your own business. Or, you could increase your skills with a Construction Engineering Foundation Degree at University Centre Weston.
A trowel occupations qualification or apprenticeship at Level 2. You’ll also need to be in relevant employment, but we can help you find this.
