Puxton Park Campus
Puxton Park provided 2050 m2 land to the College for the new £1.4m Animal Management Education Centre. This new centre utilises low carbon techniques and create an inclusive education facility for delivery of the practical elements of the animal management curriculum.
The Centre comprises of three classrooms, storage, changing and shower space, toilets, office and a student breakout area.
From the Centre you can walk straight into the animal barn! See it for yourself, watch the student or tutor tour.
Learners get the chance to work with an exciting range of animals thanks to our partnership with Puxton Park, one of the region’s top visitor attractions.
Classroom lectures come to life as you carry out practical sessions at the park, enabling you to develop industry specific skills working with the park’s specialist facilities and animals.
Puxton’s range of domestic, farm and exotic animals include tortoises, parrots, reindeer, owls, marmoset monkeys, meerkats, donkeys, goats, ponies, rare pigs, alpacas, cattle, emus and stick insects.
The partnership will also allow learners to gain broader customer service skills, by engaging with tourists, families and school parties - all helping you prepare for the world of work.
