Weston Bay
Weston Bay is a residential training centre for students on the autism spectrum.
This pioneering development is the first of its kind in the UK and has already received plaudits from students, parents and the Government.
Weston Bay is recognised as a crucial facility by students, parents, professionals and agencies in North Somerset, and from across the South West. It is conveniently situated on Weston-super-Mare’s sea-front, between the College’s Knightstone and Loxton Campuses.
It has eight bedrooms and three flats, allowing students to get used to living away from home by managing household tasks like cooking, washing, ironing and cleaning, in addition to developing their social skills.
The length of stay ranges from one night to three months, depending on individual requirements. Students may undertake several residential stays throughout their time at the College.
LOCAL AREA
Approx 1/2 mile from Junction 21 M5 Follow the A370 signposted towards Congresbury/Bristol Bus Stop at the entrance.
PARKING
There is a student car park behind the education centre.
Turn into Cowslip Lane (Puxton’s entrance from the A370), just before a green sign post to the main visitors car park entrance, you should take the left hand lane (sign posted deliveries) and follow the lane slowly (25 mph limit). You will see the Education Centre on the right but you should carry on driving for a few yards until you see 10 numbered parking spaces on the right, which is our car park. There is a footpath back to the campus.
