Apprentice Carpenter at PD AND CL BUILDING SERVICES LTD
All our apprentices work alongside qualified and experienced carpenters so that they learn the trade proficiently. In addition to learning the skills required to become a competent site carpenter, apprentices will also work hard to obtain the knowledge and behaviour to support them in the Construction sector.
We are looking for individuals who demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic approach to their work and training.
Daily Duties:
- Keeping work area clean and safe by adopting health and safety of self and others at all times. Including the proper use of all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Understanding and adopting a high standard of Health & Safety Awareness and report in a timely manner any non-compliances to the appropriate person
- Support team with loading/unloading materials
- Preparation/Clean down of site
- Making sure all jobs are completed on time
- A Site Carpenter will prepare and install basic building components e.g. doors, straight staircases, wall and floor units and erecting structural carpentry and roof structures on a building site or in domestic and commercial premises
- Responsible for using machinery and tools safely and correctly as shown in their training
- Report to line manager who will oversee their apprenticeship

Specialities include commercial/industrial property refurbishment programmes, external cladding, shop fitting, office refurbishments, social housing and service personnel refurbishments, disabled adaptations, planned maintenance, small works projects, installation of budget to bespoke kitchens and bathrooms, and property maintenance. All of our employees are qualified tradesmen and are recognised under the CSCS and CPCS schemes, They are part of a successful team that supplies good quality workmanship on time and in a responsible manner.
- Carpentry & Joinery Level 2 Qualification
- Maths and English is required
- End Point Assessment
- Prospects to go on to take Level 3 in Craft Carpentry
- A future with the company as a fully-fledged member of the team
